Christmas Fun Show

10.00 start  - Bring your tinsel and mistletoe! Lead reins welcome!
Open to all ages and abilities.
Open to members and nonmembers – you can join on the day.
Refreshments available.
All classes will be indoors.
Photographer on site.
Rosettes to sixth place. Prizes. 
Pre-entries close 9th Dec.
Classes can be entered on the day, but pre entries would be appreciated so that we can cater for numbe rs.
Entry prices:  Jumping –members  £5.00 per class (Pre entries £4) - non-members  £7.00 per class (pre entries £6)
Games    – members £4.00 per class (pre entries £3) - non-members  £5 per class  (pre entries £4)
10.00 – Christmas Jumping  Classes will be divided into Juniors (under 16’s) and Seniors if numbers allow.
Christmas cracker cross poles (Lead reins welcome)
Rudolphs ride and run – (Lead reins welcome)
Tinkerbells top score – Jump 8 jumps in any order against the clock. You have a minute to jump as many jumps as you can. Each jump has an individual no of marks and each jump can only be jumped three times.  There is an optional joker fence, which carries double points but can only be jumped once.  Top score wins!!
Prancers pairs – Two riders, each jumping the course once. Riders must enter the box to exchange mistletoe before continuing to second round. 
BREAK Mounted party games – Not to start before 12.30pm All ages, abilities and lead reins welcome 
 
Fancy dress – prize for best dress horse and rider  
 Christmas parcel and spoon race  
 Santas sack race  Christmas cracker challenge  -  race to eat crackers  
Dress the Christmas tree relay – 1st team to dress the Christmas tree wins. 
Silent night slow race – slowest combination wins, walk only but no halting and no breaking pace! 
 
Entries to be in by Sunday 9th December 
Class

 

 

1. The organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule in any way they consider appropriate.

2. The Judge’s decision is final.

3. No entry will be accepted without the appropriate fee.

4. Any objection must be handed into the Secretary within one hour of the event with a deposit of £20.00. This deposit will be returned if the objection is upheld, or forfeited if the Judges decide that the objection is not substantiated.

5. The organisers accept no responsibility whatsoever for anything that occurs to competitors, their property, horses, ponies or servants. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree to indemnify the Show against any legal action arising from such an incident.

6. Every effort will be made to avoid classes clashing but should this happen for any reason; exhibitors must choose which class they want to compete in. No entry fees will be refunded

7. Failure to exhibit any animal entered will entail forfeiture of any entry fees unless a veterinary (or medical) certificate is produced.

8. Hard hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted on site.

9 It is recommended that junior handlers wear hard hats when exhibiting.

  1. Dogs are to be kept on leads and under control.
  2. Horses/Ponies must not be left unattended tied to Lorries/Trailers and ALL DROPPINGS/LITTER MUST be removed from the parking area PRIOR TO DEPARTURE
  3. Do not obstruct any field gates, bridle way entrances or access to the Arenas with parked vehicles—you will be asked to move.   
  4. Submission of entry denotes acceptance of the rules
  5. Exhibitors are reminded that Woodlands is a Livery Yard and therefore other non-exhibiting horses/ponies will be moving about the site.
  6. No admittance to the Livery Yard to any Horse, Rider or persons other than Liveries and Staff whatsoever
  7. Failure to comply to the above rules, will be asked to leave. No entry fees will be refunded.
  8. All participants (except EFRA Members) are required to either supply a copy of their public liability insurance or BHS Gold Membership Card with their entry or provide a copy on the show day. Entry into the show ring will not be allowed without public liability insurance and entry fees may be forfeited.
  9. Participants can join EFRA prior to the event via the efra.co.uk website or on the day in cash. The form can be downloaded from the efra.co.uk website. Memberships costs £10 per year which includes 4 magazines, access to all EFRA events and a channel for your voice for issues in Epping Forest.

In the event of any dispute, or other matter that is not covered by the Rules above, the organisers shall act in any manner they deem appropriate, and their decision shall be binding and final.
