Class One: Lead Rein, and In hand with a shorter M/A (control of Paces)   

All the obstacles are to be lead in class one.

Class One A: Dressage Intro B (2009)   

Class TwoOpen to all, Top score with Joker.

Joker Obstacle to be chosen by competitor and communicated to judge before start. The Rider has a set time to do the 10 obstacles in order in the first round, they then carry on with any obstacles (in the correct direction but in any order). All the obstacles can be used up to three times. The joker obstacle is worth double of the obstacles final score and will be added to the other scores for the overall total. This is a good warm up class.

Class 2 A: Prelim 2 (2016)

Class Three: Pairs. Open to all.

Both riders are in the arena at the same time. The first rider starts with MA Canter and then does 10 obstacles, they swap with a hi- five and the second rider does the ten obstacles and finishes with the MA walk.

Class Three A: Prelim 18 (2002)

Class Four: Beginners.

Open to horses and riders who have never done a full TREC.Will include the M/A (control of paces).

Class Four A: Novice 24 (2010)

Class Five: Open to all. To include M/A    

Dressage: Choose any test from any of the other classes

You will be contacted by email on the Thursday before the event with your times

Rosettes will be awarded to 1st to 6th in each class,

(If enough entries for western/natural in the classes we will split)

Prizes to 4th position.

Members of TREC GB or EATG group, EFRA, BHS Gold.       =          £15.00

Class numbers will be restricted so please enter early to avoid disappointment. A waiting list will be kept. ENTRIES CLOSE the Monday before the event.

Refund policy: No entry will be refunded after the closing date except on the production of a medical or veterinary certificate to be shown within 5 days of the competition.  In the event of cancellation or a change of venue of events, refund will be available £4 will be retained for administration costs’.

 

Competitor and Horse Equipment.

Appropriate riding wear for both disciplines

Up to date Body protectors are optional.

You will also need to put a head collar and lead rope on your mount if you have a running martingale for leading.   Standing martingales and other fixed reins are forbidden.

Whips no longer than 75cm. 

Up to date hard hat that complies with the current standards PAS15/ASTM F1163 and bearing a kite Mark or SEI. For full details see TREC GB website.

 

Health and safety

Woodlands stables and Jill Perry has taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health, safety and welfare of everyone at these events. For these measures to be effective everyone should take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and should obey the instructions of the organiser officials and stewards.

The parking area is not contained so please ensure Horses/ponies are not left tied up without supervision outside the trailer and clear up any droppings, hay etc, (We want to be asked back!).

 All children to be supervised and dogs kept on a lead always.

 

GENERAL RULES & CONDITIONS

Placing will be decided with the rider gaining the highest combined score from the PTV and MA phases taking the first prize. In the event of equality, the highest score from PTV will take precedence.

As this is a fun competition to encourage riders to have a go, so comfortable clothing will be allowed if it is safe, with regards to Dressage the Intro B and Prelim classes will allow Western and or Natural riding. You can enter up to 4 classes, either dressage and TREC or just dressage or just TREC.

 

1. Competitions are open to all horses and ponies providing that they are a minimum of 4yrs of age.

2. Riders any age, juniors may ride horses and seniors may ride ponies.

3. No rider will be permitted to start any phase of the event unless wearing a hard hat, which meets current standard recommended by the BHS (PAS 015 or ASTMF 1163 and bearing kite mark or SEI) that is properly fitted and fastened with a chinstrap.

4 Body Protectors if used must be up to date with the BETA level 3 standard.
